(1) What is Oil Seal:
Oil seal is the customary name for general seals.It's a mechanical component used to seal oil.
The oil will enter the friction part of the machine due to the friction during the operation of the machine.
Oil seals are used to prevent the oil leaking from the gaps. In addition to oil, it's also necessary to prevent the chemical liquids, dust and sand from the outside.
(2) Material: FKM / Viton
Commonly used materials for oil seals include: NBR(nitrile rubber), FKM/Viton(fluorine rubber), HNBR(hydrogenated nitrile rubber), silicone rubber, polyurethane(PU), etc.
FKM-Excellent chemical resistance is the major features. In addition to ketones and esters, it can withstand most oils
and solvents. But the price of FKM is also higher than most of the other materials.
